Industrial strength epoxy coating
Watco Ultimate Garage Floor Paint will give your garage floor a first class, professional finish. This high gloss epoxy resin is based on a formulation used in industrial environments, and is tough enough to take regular heavy wear.
The smooth, wipe clean surface also has excellent chemical resistance. This avoids the staining and damage associated with spillage of ‘car chemicals’ such as petrol, diesel, anti-freeze, screen wash, etc. The chemical resistant properties also overcome the problem of damage caused by car tyres. New tyres, warm tyres (after driving) and wet tyres can slightly soften conventional paints and stick to them, forming a bond which is often stronger than that of the paint to the concrete floor. The paint then pulls off the floor when the car is moved. The tough, chemical resistant finish of Watco Ultimate Garage Floor Paint will not be damaged by car tyres.
The coating carries CE Mark EN 1504-2 and has impressive test results for hardness, abrasion, scratch and impact resistance as well for adhesion and flexibility.

Bare concrete – treat with Watco Etch & Clean. This removes loose cement deposits, etches smooth surfaces to provide a key and removes dirt and light grease and oil. Flush with water and allow to dry.
Previously painted floors – check that the remaining paint is well bonded, scraping off any which is poorly bonded. Sand any smooth, glossy paint. Metal – should be clean, dry, and rust free. Do not apply to stainless steel or aluminium. Use Watco Galvaprime on galvanised metal.
Bare concrete, smooth or textured, should first be primed with Watco Epoxicote High Build Primer. Watco Ultimate Garage Floor Paint is a thick, 100% solids epoxy resin. When applied to textured bare concrete air can become trapped in the concrete surface which causes bubbles in the cured paint film. The primer avoids this and promotes adhesion on smooth surfaces. Previously painted surfaces do not require priming, nor does metal.
Watco has a wide range of floor repair products. Watco Concrex® Fine Filler is the first choice for filling cracks, scratches, and small holes in garage floors. It is quick to use and gives the painted surface a first class, professional finish.
Remove the two inner tins from the tall outer tin. Stir the contents of each tin thoroughly and pour all the contents into the outer tin, (scrape around the inside of the tins to remove any residue). Mix the components together thoroughly using a spatula or similar wide bladed tools, (a piece of wooden batten is ideal). Continue mixing until an even colour and consistency are obtained. Do not mix more than one pack at a time. If a paint stirrer fitted to an electric drill is used, also use the spatula to blend in any unmixed material from the sides and bottom of the tin.
Important – once the contents of the pack have been mixed, a chemical reaction takes place which creates heat. The product should therefore be decanted into a shallow tray to avoid reducing the pot life and used straight away. Best results are obtained in warm (minimum of 15°C), dry conditions with reasonable ventilation. Apply one coat. Cut in around edges with a brush, apply to the main floor with a medium pile roller, working well into the surface
