How to Provide Safety Underfoot Inside and Outside, with Watco Safety Grip.

  • What you'll need:
  • Watco Safety Grip
  • Watco Painting Kit:
  • 12“ Roller Frame & Telescopic Handle
  • Plastic Scuttle
  • 5“ and 2“ Paint Brush
  • Mixing Blade
     

STEP 1 – PREPARATION

  • Ensure substrate is free from dust and dirt.
  • Thoroughly sweep the surface to remove the dust.
  • If the concrete is new or bare, remove surface laitance, dust and any light dirt or grease deposits using Watco Etch and Clean.
  • If the surface has heavy deposits of grease or oil, use Watco Concroff or for painted surfaces, Watco Bio-D.

 

STEP 2 – MIXING

  • Remove the three inner tins.
  • Stir the content of the tins thoroughly.
  • Pour the mixed components back into the larger tin.
  • Scrape around the inside of the tin to remove all contents.
  • Stir thoroughly to ensure it is well mixed with an even colour.
  • Pour the coating into a plastic scuttle for immediate use.

 

STEP 3 – APPLICATION

  • Use a paint brush to cut in around the edges of the surface.
  • Apply using a medium pile roller (not foam).
  • Work in measurements of 5m2 areas.
  • Immediately sprinkle the anti slip aggregate evenly onto the wet coating.
  • Sprinkle the aggregate to achieve your desired finish, total or light coverage.
  • Using the same roller, roll over the sprinkled aggregate to bed in and create an even finish.
