How to Apply Watco Flexicoat - Step-by-Step Guide

In this video, we'll walk you through the process of applying Watco Flexicoat. Flexicoat is a polyaspartic formulation designed for floors which may be subject to slight movement or cracking. Flexicoat also has excellent waterproofing and chemical resistant properties, making it the ideal coating for plant, boiler rooms or bund areas, where equipment may leak.

How to paint floors subject to vibration and movement with Flexicoat.

STEP 1 – PREPARATION

• Thoroughly clean the surface to ensure it is free of dust and dirt.
• All traces of grease or oil should be removed with Watco Bio-D and concrete with surface laitance should be treated with Watco Etch & Clean.

STEP 2 – MIXING 

• Remove the two inner tins. 
• Stir the content of both tins thoroughly.
• Pour the mixed components into the larger tin.
• Stir thoroughly until even in colour and consistency.
• Pour the mixed coating into a plastic scuttle for immediate use.

STEP 3 – APPLICATION 

• Apply the coating with a short pile simulated sheepskin roller. 
• Apply firmly with roller to ensure even coverage.
• Your floor will be ready for traffic in 12 hours.
