How to achieve a hard wearing painted floor for heavy wear areas with Watco Epoxy Gloss Coat.

What you'll need:

Watco Epoxy Gloss Coat
Watco Painting Kit
12“ Roller Frame & Telescopic Handle
Plastic Scuttle
2“ and 5“ Paint Brush
Electric Drill fitted with Mixing Blade

STEP 1 – PREPARATION

Thoroughly clean the surface to ensure it is free of dust and dirt.
If applying to hard, smooth, powerfloated concrete use Watco Powerfloat Primer.
If the concrete is new or bare, remove surface laitance, dust and any light dirt or grease deposits using Watco Etch and Clean.

STEP 2 – MIXING

Remove the two inner tins.
Stir the content of both tins thoroughly.
Pour the mixed components back into the larger tin.
Mix thoroughly with a mixing blade until even in colour and consistency.
Pour the coating into a plastic scuttle for immediate use.

STEP 3 – APPLICATION

Use a paint brush to cut in around the edges of the surface.
Apply using a medium pile roller. Best results are obtained in warm (minimum 15C), dry conditions with good ventilation.
The coating will darken slightly as it cures, and it should not be over rollered.
The second coat can be applied as soon as the first coat is dry (generally 4-6 hours).
