Commercial warehouse and industrial workshop floors often need to be resistant to chemicals, to wear and tear from heavy machinery and to be anti slip.
A commercial vehicle servicing and repair company in Cardiff had a new floor installed in their workshop, which would inevitably be subject to oil ingress and heavy wear and tear. The appearance of this surface was also very important, as well as its need to be safe, therefore finding the right coatings to meet these requirements was of the utmost importance.
Initially the surface was primed with 4 Hour Epoxy Primer, then after 24 hours it was given one coat of Epoxicote High Build in light grey, chosen for its exceptional durability.
Once cured the Epoxicote High Build in Green was used to mark out walkways and Safety Coat Yellow to highlight vehicle inspection pits.
Safety Coat was selected for its excellent anti slip properties, particularly around those areas most subject to oil ingress.
The whole job took approximately 2 weeks and was carried out by Aedean Flooring Ltd.
