with ArmourGrip
Watco ArmourGrip is a unique anti slip coating. The base layer includes one thick layer of heavy duty, high build epoxy resin coating. It's then topped with an incredibly hard iron silicate grit, achieving a safe floor surface that will last for years with minimum maintenance.
The attractive, black, mid gloss finish takes constant forklift traffic, making it ideal for heavily used aisle ways, ramps or loading bays where a safe surface is required. Its strength means that it will not wear away like a conventional floor coating. This versatile formula can be applied to concrete, metal or wood, usually without any need for a primer.
Give the areas a good sweep to ensure that the substrate is free from dust and dirt. To ensure clean edges, use masking tape to mask out the area to be painted.
If the surface is new or bare, remove any surface laitance, dust, dirt or grease with Watco Etch & Clean. For removal of heavier deposits of oil or grease, we recommend Watco Concroff.
Remove the two inner tins and give the contents of each tin a good stir. When mixed pour the components into the larger tin.
Stir the larger tin thoroughly with a mixing blade until an even colour and consistency is achieved. When mixed pour into the plastic scuttle to use immediately.
Use a paint brush to cut in around the edges of the surface. Apply the rest with a medium pile roller. We recommend working in 1m wide strips, starting at the back and working towards the front.
Immediately scatter the grit onto the wet coating. Aim for complete coverage so none of the coating can be seen.
Once the grit has covered the wet coating, roll over it with a clean, dry roller to bed it into surface. Once cured (16 hours at 20C), sweep away any loose or excess grit.
Repeat with the next 1m wide strip and continue until complete.
