with Powerfloat Primer
Watco Powerfloat Primer is a two-part, water based epoxy resin primer designed for smooth, non-porous surfaces like power-floated or polished concrete. It removes the need for costly mechanical preparation such as shot blasting which can be expensive and can texture the surface leaving ‘tram line’ marks. Watco Powerfloat Primer retains the attractive smooth power floated finish. The primer can be overcoated with most Watco coatings after 12 hours at 20°C (or 4-6 hours with the rapid version). If using a solvent based floor coating, allow 5 days for full curing.

Thoroughly clean the surface to ensure it is free of dust, dirt and loose material.

If the concrete is new or bare, remove surface laitance, dust and any light dirt or grease deposits using Watco Etch & Clean.

Remove the two inner tins and stir the content of both tins thoroughly. Pour the mixed components into the large outer tin.

Stir thoroughly until even in colour and consistency. Then pour the formulation into a shallow Roller Tray ready for application.

Use a Paint Brush for cutting in around the edges. Mark out the area to be painted with masking tape to ensure clean, even edges.

Apply the coating with a Medium Pile Roller (not foam). Do not apply at temperatures below 10C or above 30C.
