"Large workloads make it hard for FMs in this sector to conduct regular site inspections and repairs. As a result, small repair jobs are often delayed. However, ignoring minor surface damage can quickly lead to larger hazards down the line. This not only increases the risk of accidents but also the time and materials needed to carry out the repair which could put you over budget.

Although difficult to implement in the short term, implementing a structured approach to maintenance and repairs with schedules and checklists can break this cycle. By prioritising those tasks, surface damage can be spotted and repaired early on, reducing hazards and eliminating time-consuming, costly repairs.”
