We know that when it comes to your facility, safety is paramount. That’s why we we're thrilled to announce that two of our leading coatings, Epoxy Gloss Coat and Safety Coat have successfully passed rigorous fire safety tests and achieved the Bfl-S1 classification under the BS EN 13501-1:2018 fire safety standard. This classification solidifies our commitment to providing not only superior coatings but also products you can trust when it comes to safety.
To achieve this European classification, our floor coatings underwent two key fire tests:
1. Radiant Panel Test
This test measures how a flooring material reacts to heat exposure, simulating a real-world scenario where a product might be exposed to high temperatures.
2. Single-Flame Test
This test determines whether a material ignites and sustains combustion when directly subjected to an open flame.
Both products achieved Bfl-S1 classification, which means they’re flame-retardant and produce very little smoke if exposed to fire. In simple terms, Bfl indicates they won’t easily catch fire, and S1 means they give off minimal smoke - making them a much safer choice. This level of fire performance is especially important in buildings where safety and fire prevention are a top priority.
