How to Apply Watco Concrex Vertical - Step-by-Step Guide

In this video, we'll walk you through the process of applying Watco Concrex Vertical. Concrex Vertical is a two part, epoxy resin mortar containing special lightweight fillers. At approximately a third of the density of an ordinary mortar, it's suited to repairing damaged concrete pillars, sills, lintels, beams, render and stone work without slumping or falling out as the repair sets. Easy to apply, it can be applied at any depth without the need to build up in layers, providing a strong, long lasting repair.

How to repair damaged pillars, beams and vertical surfaces with Watco Concrex Vertical. 

WHAT YOU'LL NEED:

• Watco Concrex Vertical
• Trowel & Float
• Watco Tack Coat
• Soft & Wire Brushes
• Nitrile Gloves
• Mixing Tray

STEP 1 - PREPARATION

• Thoroughly clean the surface to ensure it is free of dust and dirt.
• Watco Tack Coat is essential to ensure maximum adhesion to the substrate.

STEP 2 - MIXING

• Wearing protective gloves, tip the aggregate into a mixing tray or board.
• Create a well in the middle of the aggregate.
• Shake the curing agent thoroughly and pour into the well until empty.
• Mix thoroughly until an even, light grey colour is obtained.

STEP 3 - APPLICATION

• Apply the mixture firmly against the damaged area.
• Moisten a rag with white spirit and wipe it across the blade.
• Drag the damp blade across the repair creating a smooth finish.
