Watco Fastcoat Primer

A fast curing primer formulated for use with Watco Fastcoat

  • Overcoat in just 2 hours
  • Binds weak, porous concrete
  • Ideal for difficult surfaces
  • Two-part polyaspartic formula
Description

Specially formulated to aid the adhesion of Watco Fastcoat and make application easier and more effective, Watco Fastcoat Primer is a 2 part polyaspartic resin which is ideal for preparation of difficult surfaces. Application

Preparation

Floor temperature must be above -10°C and dry. Existing floor paint finishes must be sound, and grease and oil should be removed with Watco Etch & Clean. It is important that this is thoroughly washed off and the floor is allowed to dry.

Mix between 10°C-25°C. Remove the two tins from the large outer tin. Stir each tin individually and pour into larger outer tin. (Ensure that tin contents are completely emptied by scraping the sides etc.) Mix the components together thoroughly using a spatula or wide bladed tool. Continue mixing until an even blend/consistency is obtained. Do not mix more than one tin at a time. If a mixing blade and electric drill are used, also use a spatula to ensure any unmixed material from sides/corners and bottom of the tin is not missed. Do not dilute.

Application

Apply between -10°C and +30°C The viscosity will become somewhat thicker when applied at temperatures below 0°C and may result in a slight loss of coverage. When mixed, a short pile roller should be used to work the product around or over a 30m² area. This product is designed to be applied thinly (approx. 75-100 microns).
