Protects concrete block paving in heavy wear areas
Watco Block Paving Stabiliser has proved to be the answer to the problems associated with stabilising the essential jointing sand and helping to protect the integrity of block paved areas. Local authorities use Watco Block Paving Stabiliser to reduce the maintenance costs associated with block paving movement. It’s even tough enough to withstand mechanical vacuum cleaning!

Surfaces to be treated must be dry, free from grease, oil, dirt and previous coatings. Joints should be filled or topped up to the bottom of the chamfer with clean, dry compacted sand of the correct specification.
Ground temperatures should be between 10°C and 30°C. Apply only when the blocks, jointing sand and bedding sand are dry and when rain is not expected for at least 24 hours. Only one application is required. Pour directly from the container or apply with a watering can fitted with a hose. Low pressure spray systems can also be used. Do not flush out the jointing sand. Work in areas of approximately 5m², distributing the liquid evenly with a foam rubber squeegee. Ensure that the joints are completely filled with liquid and that the joints and pavers have absorbed as much solution as they can. Use the squeegee to remove all unabsorbed liquid from the surface of the pavers.
Please note: the product must not be allowed to pond on the surface of the pavers or create a surface film. Any unabsorbed material must be pushed away using the squeegee. Dry conditions at the time of application are important since damp or rain in contact with uncured Watco Block Paving Stabiliser can cause the product to dry with a whitish ‘bloom’. This effect will be exaggerated if any surplus of solution is not removed from the blocks with the squeegee at the time of application.
