Ensure surfaces are sound, clean, contaminant-free and as dry as possible before coating. Thoroughly scrub down all dirty surfaces with alkaline detergent solution followed by thorough rinsing (alternatively steam clean) and dry off. Remove residual contamination by scraping, surface grinding etc. Mechanically remove any unsound/incompatible coatings. Fully grind or vacu blast bare concrete to give an open sandpaper like surface. Reduce undulations/peaks etc by mechanical abrasion or grinding.
Apply one or two coats as required by roller or squeegee to give an even spread, ensuring good cover on profile peaks etc. Discharge mixed material as soon as possible to maintain workability. Spike roller if necessary to de-aerate coating.
