Surface PreparationAll surfaces to be treated should be clean, sound, dry and free from all dust, dirt and general surface contamination. All oils, grease and grime should be completely removed. Any laitance should be removed by blasting, disc grinding or other suitable mechanical methods. Substrate should be as dry as possible for coating (less than 10 on the protimeter concrete moisture scale for porous surfaces). Existing coatings must be sound, firmly adhered, thoroughly abraded and compatible with Watco Concrete Sealer. We recommend a trial is carried out on existing coatings to ensure compatibility. Loose and flaking material must be removed and feathered off to a firm edge.
Application
Apply between 10°C and 30°C. Watco Concrete Sealer can be applied with a brush or short pile roller. Two coats are recommended for an even finish. The first coat should be thinned by approximately 20% with
Watco Cleaning Solvent ‘TH99’ if the substrate is particularly porous or friable.
