Watco Block Paving Sealer is a quick drying resin that gives a slight sheen to block paving. It enhances the colour and helps to prevent staining. Like Watco Block Paving Stabiliser, it also binds the jointing sand grains to one another and to the sides of pavers, which strengthens the paving.

Watco Block Paving Sealer is based on a semi-gloss, clear resin in a moisture curing polyurethane solution to give a tough, abrasive resistant surface.

Coverage approx. 15m² per coat per 5 litre pack, depending on the porosity of the pavers, block size and joint width. One coat is usually sufficient.

Surface Preparation
All surfaces to be treated should be clean, dry, sound and free from dirt, dust and other contaminants. If the paving has been washed, it must be allowed to dry thoroughly before treatment with Watco Block Paving Sealer. Treat any areas of moss or fungal attack with a suitable algicide/ fungicide. Joints should be filled or topped up to the bottom of the chamfer with clean, dry compacted sand of the correct specification.


Application
Apply in temperatures above 10°C and when rain is not expected for at least 24 hours. Take a working quantity from the tin and re-seal immediately to prevent moisture vapour contamination in the can. Apply Watco Block Paving Sealer by brush or roller, taking care not to apply it too thickly. Do not allow excess product to build up in the sand joints. Do not allow the product to pond on the surface. One coat is usually sufficient. Two coats may be applied but will leave a glossier finish. If two coats are required apply the second within 4 to 48 hours of the first to ensure good intercoat adhesion.

Warning Watco Block Paving Sealer must not be allowed to flow down drains, storm drains or enter open water courses.
